2022-23: FC Barcelona – Number 41
On April 29, 2023, Lamine Yamal made his official first-team debut for FC Barcelona. Coach Xavi Hernández brought him on for Gavi in the 86th minute during the home match against Real Betis.
FC Barcelona won the match 4-0. Yamal was just 15 years, 9 months and 16 days old at the time. This made him the youngest player for FC Barcelona in La Liga this century.
He wore number 41 on his debut.
The FC Barcelona home shirt for 2022-23 had broad vertical blue and dark red stripes, with the Spotify logo as the main sponsor. It was the first season Spotify appeared on the front of FC Barcelona shirts.
Yamal played just one official first-team match that season. Even so, this shirt has a special meaning. He made his debut at the highest level in it.
2023-24: FC Barcelona – Number 27
In the 2023-24 season, Lamine Yamal was given number 27. Although he was officially still part of the youth teams, he became a regular in the first team under Xavi.
The FC Barcelona home shirt once again featured a traditional striped design, this time with wider red and blue stripes. The club crest was on the left chest and the Nike swoosh on the right chest.
Yamal played 50 official matches that season and scored seven goals.
On October 8, 2023, he scored his first league goal for FC Barcelona against Granada. At 16 years and 87 days old, he became the youngest goalscorer ever in La Liga.
His development was rapid. He increasingly became part of the starting eleven. He became important with his dribbling, assists, and moves from the right flank.
The FC Barcelona shirt with number 27 therefore belongs to his first full season as a first-team player.
2024-25: FC Barcelona – Number 19
After his successful EURO, Lamine Yamal got a new shirt number at FC Barcelona. For the 2024-25 season, he swapped number 27 for number 19.
It was the same number he had worn when he became European champion with Spain just a few weeks earlier.
Number 19 already had a history at FC Barcelona. Lionel Messi wore it between 2005 and 2008 before switching to number 10.
The 2024-25 FC Barcelona home shirt departed from the traditional vertical stripes. The design featured two large halves: one dark blue and one dark red. With this, Nike paid tribute to the 125th anniversary of FC Barcelona.
Under new manager Hansi Flick, Yamal enjoyed his most successful club season to date.
He scored 18 goals and provided 21 assists in all competitions. FC Barcelona won the Spanish league title, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.
He also stood out in the Champions League, including in the semi-finals against Inter Milan.
A key moment was his goal against Real Madrid on October 26, 2024. FC Barcelona won 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabéu. Yamal became the youngest goalscorer ever in a Clásico.
The FC Barcelona number 19 shirt became the shirt of his first great season. At the time, he was one of the club's key players.
2025-26: FC Barcelona – Number 10
On July 16, 2025, FC Barcelona announced that Lamine Yamal would wear number 10 from then on.
The number became available after Ansu Fati left for AS Monaco. It had previously been worn by players such as Lionel Messi, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, and Diego Maradona.
The switch to number 10 took place a few days after Yamal's 18th birthday.
Nike unveiled a home shirt for 2025-26 with red and blue vertical stripes. The colors blended into one another. This design was clearly different from the previous season's shirt.
Yamal remained a key player under Hansi Flick at FC Barcelona, helping them win the Spanish league title again.
The number 10 shirt marked a new chapter. On his debut, he was a youth player wearing number 41. Now he wore the number of the greatest players.
2026-27: FC Barcelona – Number 10
In the 2026-27 season, Lamine Yamal continued to wear number 10 for FC Barcelona.
This means he is wearing the same number for two consecutive seasons for the first time since breaking into the first team.
For the 2026-27 home shirt, Nike once again chose vertical stripes. They featured different shades of blue and dark red.
This makes the design different from the 2024-25 and 2025-26 shirts, while Yamal's number on the back remains the same.

Lamine Yamal shirts for Spain
2023: Spain – Numbers 19 and 17
On September 8, 2023, Lamine Yamal made his official debut for the Spanish national team. Head coach Luis de la Fuente brought him on for Marco Asensio during the EURO qualifier against Georgia.
Spain won the match 7-1, and Yamal scored his first international goal straight away.
He was 16 years and 57 days old. This made him the youngest player and goalscorer ever for the Spanish national team.
Yamal wore number 19 on his debut.
The Spain home shirt he wore on his debut came from the 2022 Adidas collection. The shirt had a red base with dark blue details and yellow accents. Although the shirt was introduced in 2022, Yamal did not wear it until his debut in 2023.
During later EURO qualifiers, he also wore number 17, including on November 19, 2023, against Georgia.
The Spain shirt from 2023 was his first shirt with the national team. He also scored his first international goal in it.
EURO 2024: Spain – Number 19
In the summer of 2024, Lamine Yamal played in his first major international tournament. At the European Championship in Germany, he wore Spain's red home shirt with number 19.
The Spanish EURO shirt by Adidas had a red base with yellow details. The iconic three stripes on the shoulders and the Spanish crest on the chest made the design recognizable.
Yamal began the tournament at the age of 16. During the opening match against Croatia, he became the youngest player ever to play at a European Championship.
His most memorable moment came in the semi-final against France on July 9, 2024. Spain were trailing 1-0 when Yamal fired in the equalizer from outside the penalty area. Spain eventually won 2-1 and reached the final.
In the final against England, Yamal assisted Nico Williams's opening goal. Spain won 2-1 and became European champions for the fourth time.
Yamal finished the tournament with one goal and four assists. He was named best young player of EURO 2024. His goal against France was also voted goal of the tournament.

World Cup 2026: Spain – Shirt number 19
Although Lamine Yamal now wore number 10 at FC Barcelona, he continued to play with number 19 for the Spanish national team.
He wore this number during the World Cup 2026 in the United States, Canada and Mexico as well.
The World Cup 2026 was Yamal's first World Cup. Two years after his European title, he also became world champion with Spain.
On July 19, 2026, Spain beat Argentina 1-0 in the World Cup final at New York New Jersey Stadium. After regulation time ended goalless, Ferran Torres scored the winning goal in the 106th minute.
Spain thereby won its second world title, following its earlier victory at the World Cup in 2010.
For Yamal, it meant another major international title, this time on the biggest stage in international football.
